WrapShield SA Self-Adhered
Over 60,000 sq.ft. of WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was installed behind multiple cladding types including copper, stucco, natural cedar and stone during the winter months.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Over 60,000 sq. ft. of WrapShield SA Self-Adhered Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Sheet Membrane was installed on The Lion, an intensive, mixed-use redevelopment project located in Vail, Colorado. The project began with a complete demolition and clearing of the property to make way for the new, luxury structure. As such, the building team sought to be cost-conscious without sacrificing product quality.
After originally specifying a competitor building wrap, the architect discovered WrapShield SA Self-Adhered. Completely self-adhering, WrapShield SA Self-Adhered decreases installation time to reduce labor costs and is well-suited for variant, wintry climates. The durable building membrane has an installation temperature from -40°F to 250°F and meets the rigorous ASTM E2357 standards. WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was installed behind multiple classing types including: copper, stucco, natural cedar and stone.
Once finished, The Lion’s 65 private residences will provide avid skiers a world of luxury in a rugged, natural setting. Commercial /retail space will be available at street level along Lionshead Circle.
