WrapShield SA Self-Adhered
WrapShield SA Self-Adhered WRB/Air Barrier panels (orange) are being installed on the Skyvue Apartments in Lansing, MI.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Approximately 270,000 sq.ft. of WrapShield SA Self Adhered Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Sheet Membrane is being installed on the new 9-story $90M Skyvue apartment building in Lansing. The panelized construction began at RGC in North Carolina where the panels were fabricated and WrapShield SA Self Adhered was applied directly to the sheathing, then Vapro-SS Flashing was added around the rough openings. The panels were then shipped to Lansing, Michigan where they are being erected on the Skyvue project.
WrapShield SA Self-Adhered is vapor permeable yet air tight, helping to save energy for the life of the building and prevent mold, mildew and rot behind the metal panels.
Installation crews in the factory and on the job site are always safe around WrapShield SA Self-Adhered and flashing accessories as they emit zero VOC’s and contain no red list chemicals.
The project is slated for completion in 2017 and will include 338 apartments and 4,000 sq.ft. of retail space on the first level.
