PROJECT DESCRIPTION
With over 60 years of experience in the roofing and wall systems industry, Parker Johnston Ltd. knows the important role the building envelope plays in protecting the structural integrity and longevity of the building envelope. That's why, when Parker Johnston Industries Ltd. began construction on their new building, their in-house contractor choose WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Air Barrier.
Over 5,000 sq. ft. (464 M²) of WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Sheet was installed on the new 28,000 sq. ft. (2,601 M²) building which will consolidate the former Parker Johnston Ltd. company operation's into a single building. The total cost of the new location will be $8.5 million, a source from Parker Johnston Ltd. explains, adding the cost also includes buying and remediating the building site, constructing the new building and buying new equipment.
All-climate construction friendly, WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Air Barrier makes an efficient addition to the new construction as it can be installed in temperatures from 20°F (-6°C) and rising. The water resistive vapor permeable air barrier sheet is lightweight enough for easy transport on the construction site while also extremely durable. WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Air Barrier is tear, rip and puncture resistant during and after construction to reduce labor costs. Offering multiple substrate compatibility, WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Air Barrier offers an easy-to-install option for the Parker Johnston Ltd. construction project.
