PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Over 2,000 sq. ft. (185.81 M²) of WRAPSHIELD® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane was applied as a retrofit on a south end home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The previous contractors had applied a competitor housewrap and tape to seal the joints. Without proper flashing, this installation left incoming water no where to go and resulted in rot formation. VaproShield's WRAPSHIELD® and VaproLiqui-Flash were brought in to replace the failed competitor system. Water resistive and vapor permeable, WRAPSHIELD® can protect your building from the damaging effects of moisture intrusion and entrapment, making the product an ideal choice to prevent problems of mold, mildew and rot.
When asked to comment on the job, MRB Contracting stressed the importance of investing in quality building products, like those produced by VaproShield. “This job is an example of why we invest in procedures,” explained the general contractor. “Prevention is always better than cure.”
