SlopeShield Plus Self-Adhered
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For the historic roof restoration of a prominent government building in Texas, SlopeShield Plus Self-Adhered (SA) by VaproShield was selected as the trusted roofing underlayment—safeguarding the building’s legacy while supporting modern performance standards.
Covering approximately 87,000 sq.ft. beneath a new copper roof assembly, SlopeShield Plus SA was the ideal solution for this detailed project. Its proven durability, superior adhesion, and vapor permeability made it perfectly suited for working with aging and delicate substrates. With 180 days of UV exposure capability, SlopeShield Plus SA offered vital flexibility during construction phases, even in extended project timelines.
An important advantage was the ability to "put the roof in the dry," allowing critical government operations to continue without disruption throughout construction. The membrane provided continuous protection against weather and moisture intrusion while crews completed the roof replacement above.
SlopeShield Plus SA’s toughness—withstanding foot traffic, equipment, and varying weather conditions—helped maintain project momentum while ensuring long-term protection for this important historic structure. For preservation roofing projects requiring resilience, flexibility, and trusted performance, SlopeShield Plus SA continues to lead the way.
