SlopeShield Plus Self-Adhered
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Cheaha State Park Lodge, located in Delta, AL, is a new, hybrid mass timber lodge featuring Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) floors with concrete topping slabs, supported by CLT and wood stud-framed walls atop a concrete foundation. Upon completion, it will be the largest CLT construction project in Alabama.
SlopeShield Plus SA from VaproShield was selected to protect the mass timber floors and roof deck during construction and provide long-term durability. Applied in the factory with joints treated on-site, SlopeShield Plus SA forms a vapor-permeable air barrier and offers temporary weather protection, keeping the timber dry during rain, wind, and extended construction schedules. Its durability, adhesion, and resilience give construction teams confidence to work efficiently while safeguarding the wood decks.
By helping prevent moisture damage, including costly staining, SlopeShield Plus SA supports a healthy building environment, saving building owners time and money, ensuring the Cheaha State Park Lodge remains protected, sustainable, and durable for decades to come.
