PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Amazon DII5 delivery station features a mass timber structure including glulam beams and cross-laminated timber panels, creating a low-carbon, sustainable facility. Over 75,000 sq.ft. of PanelShield SA was installed on the mass timber walls to provide a fully adhered, vapor-permeable air barrier.

PanelShield SA protected the mass timber from moisture damage during transportation and construction, ensuring the panels arrived dry before being integrated into the structure. Its durability allows it to withstand aggressive handling, fast installation, and tough on-site conditions, while simultaneously drying the mass timber substrate.

Combined with sustainable design features, including abundant daylighting, biophilic elements, and locally sourced wood finishes, PanelShield SA will help maintain a resilient building envelope and support Amazon’s sustainability goals.
