PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Two layers of WALLSHIELD® Black Water Resistive Barrier Sheet were installed on the Tanana Chiefs Clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska.
The entire project was open joint rain screen panels in both phenolic core resin and stainless steel metal. The panels were short modules of approximately one foot tall, so with an open horizontal joint every 12”, the weather barrier (WALLSHIELD®) needed to act as the long-term water proofing for the building and also provide the black color behind the open joints of the panels.
Ghemm Company installed a double later of WALLSHIELD® Black to ensure long term UV resistance at every joint.
