PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Cambridge Savings Bank used a combination of WrapShield SA Self-Adhered applied directly to the gypsum and RevealShield SA Self-Adhered installed on the mineral wool insulation.  Since RevealShield SA Self-Adhered is black and UV stable, the 10mm Fundermax exterior panels were installed directly over the membrane, creating the desired black open joint reveal. The VaproShield membranes do not require primer, have zero VOC’s, allow for installation in inclement weather and below freezing temperatures.  In addition, the membranes air barrier properties help to prevent air leakage, contributing to long-term energy savings. Both membranes have a high drying capacity helping to prohibit mold, mildew from forming which can cause rot, corrosion and eventually lead to structural damage.
