PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This restaurant site was stripped to the studs and re-built to be a Mexican style restaurant. Over 6,800 sq. ft. of WrapShield RS Rain Screen 3mm was installed on the plywood substrate in preparation for a stucco façade.
WrapShield RS Rain Screen is a state-of-the-art breathable, water resistive air barrier with a built-in 3mm drainage matrix. The unique integrated tape ensures proper installation, and the minimalist 3mm drainage matrix is easily wrapped with black paperback lath paper in preparation for stucco.
WrapShield RS Rain Screen will help to reduce the incidence of moisture-related damage and dry out the cementitious stucco by creating an air space and drainage plane in the building envelope.
The simple and easy-to-install two component flashing system: VaproFlashing pre-cut 11 ¾” rolls and VaproLiqui-Flash eliminated the need for the installer to purchase additional tapes to flash rough opening and windows.
WrapShield RS Rain Screen (orange) was applied to the plywood substrate and the paperback lath paper installed over the 3mm drainage plane. With a minimal 3mm drainage plane, no design changes were required to the stucco façade.
