PROJECT DESCRIPTION

13,000 sq. ft. of RevealShield SA Self-Adhered was installed on the brand-new Carson Arts Colony under modern and colorful open-joint fiber cement panels, with VaproLiquiFlash installed at the building’s penetrations. As the design incorporated perforated metal panels, the architect needed an air & water-barrier that was UV-stable and would not deteriorate in sunlight like so many water-barriers do.

RevealShield SA Self-Adhered was easy to install and held up to the sun exposure for months before the panels were installed. The architect noted that VaproShield’s RevealShield SA is the only water-barrier on market that is black, UV-stable, self-adhered and permeable to prevent mold and mildew. It required no primer, and has the Living Building Challenge’s “Declare” label—the most advanced sustainability certification program for the built environment in the market today.
