PROJECT DESCRIPTION
20,000 sq. ft. of WrapShield SA and RoofBlock HT were installed on the new Michigan State Police Firing Range and Classrooms in Lansing, MI. The project required high-performance building envelope materials to ensure durability, energy efficiency, and complete air barrier continuity. WrapShield SA, a self-adhered, water-resistive, vapor-permeable air barrier, was ideal for protecting the building envelope beneath the stone masonry cladding. For the sloped roof, RoofBlock HT, a high-temperature, vapor barrier/air barrier roofing underlayment, was selected for its ability to tolerate heat during application while also safeguarding the vented roof decks and blocking water intrusion from ice damming. Together, these materials successfully created a continuous air barrier while ensuring long-term protection, durability, and energy efficiency.
