PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Over 60,000 sq. ft. of WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was installed on the Veterinary Medicine Building at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.

WrapShield SA Self-Adhered accommodated the tight budget and construction schedule. With its exceptional self-adhesion, it did not require special installation equipment, additional labor, or overspray on the University campus. The high wind shear of the great plains region demanded a WRB/Air-Barrier that could resist tearing during construction exposure. WrapShield SA bonded directly to the gypsum sheathing and was entirely tear resistant, allowing the install team to stay on schedule.

Additionally, WrapShield SA Self-adhered was compatible with the building’s multiple cladding types—including a precast concrete façade sculpted to look like limestone–and in doing so, required less SKUs onsite and improved overall labor estimates.

The state-of-the-art facility is due to be completed in January of 2019, and will offer large lecture halls, laboratories, and research space—including a home for the Center for Animal and Human Health in Appalachia.
