PROJECT DESCRIPTION

ACME Timber Lofts is a vertical expansion and renovation of an existing 3.5-story, unreinforced masonry structure, with a new CLT core from the ground up. Over 5,000 sq.ft. of SlopeShield Plus SA was installed directly over the CLT substrate to protect the mass timber roof from bulk water intrusion and concurrently dries out mass timber through moisture vapor diffusion. The 8,000 sq.ft of WrapShield IT Integrated Tape will guard walls from damaging moisture intrusion especially through the rough openings.

ACME Timber Lofts are also designed to meet stringent Passive House standards. Since VaproShield’s membranes are highly effective air barriers, they will contribute to meeting the difficult criteria in all of the Passive House criteria.
