VaproShield is dedicated to bringing you the most up to date details for our products, ensuring a successful installation.

VaproShield considers the following as best practice for installation sequencing:

Waterproof all rough openings per VaproShield's installation instructions as approved by your project waterproofing consultant.
Install windows and head flashing per manufacturer's recommendations
Apply field membrane in shingle fashion, sealing around perimeter of sealant joint or nail flange of installed window.
Along with the field membrane, apply VaproCaps as needed and/or VaproBattens or other permanent rain screen cladding attachments, such as vertical z-girts, hat channel, etc. (In the case of horizontal girts or other structural battens for vertical cladding patterns, be sure to shim horizontal members by at least 1/4" in order to maintain a properly unimpeded drainage plane)
