PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Over 90,000 Sq.Ft. of VaproShield SlopeShield Water Resistive Roof Underlayment was installed on the new SMF Central Terminal B of the Sacramento Airport. SlopeShield combines the best properties of a water resistive vapor permeable roof underlayment and an air barrier membrane.
The $1.0 Billion addition and renovation was completed in October 2011 and replaces the original building which was over 40 years old. The terminal construction project is among the largest in Sacramento County history. The project created 2,400 jobs during its 2 ½ years of construction. The project positions the airport for growth well past 2050.
