PROJECT DESCRIPTION
VaproShield donated 3,200 s/f of WRAPSHIELD® Black for the Studio 804, Springfield Street residence. Studio 804 is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit, design/build program at the University of Kansas School of Architecture, Design, and Planning focusing on the creation of community based architecture.

The residence was awarded a LEED Platinum certification, a first for a residence in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The home incorporates many strategies aimed at not only reducing energy consumption of the residence but also strives to generate a surplus, which can then be fed back into the electrical grid. The collective result of these systems is a residence which is fully self sufficient, even generating more energy than it consumes.
